Nomination : Michel Dion, new Director General of the Initiative for Sustainable Aviation Technology™ of Canada (INSAT)

The Board of Directors of the Initiative for Sustainable Aviation Technology™ (INSAT) of Canada is excited to announce the appointment of Michel Dion as the new Director General. With nearly 25 years of experience in the aerospace industry, Michel Dion brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to his new role.

In various capacities, Michel has showcased a remarkable track record of achievements. These include senior leadership roles in innovation at Bell Textron Canada, serving as the Bell 505 Flight Test Coordinator Lead, Chief of Flight Technology and Research, and Project Leader in Research & Development.

Beyond his technical expertise, Michel’s involvement in academia as a course lecturer at UQAM and HEC Universities and his roles on various boards, including Chairman of CRIAQ and Vice-President of SAGE, demonstrate a holistic approach to industry growth.

Michel Dion’s competencies extend beyond technical proficiency. Drawing on his experience and leadership, he possesses a comprehensive understanding of program management based on PMI and INCOSE’s body of knowledge. His effective communication skills, dynamic leadership style, and ability to unite stakeholders around a shared vision make him an asset to INSAT.

His profound insight into governmental funding programs, contracts, and not-for-profit organizations further emphasizes his strategic capabilities. Michel Dion’s appointment reinforces INSAT’s commitment to sustainable aviation and positions the organization for continued success under his visionary guidance.
